A writer disillusioned by the idea of love stemming from abandonment issues when as a child has a hard time writing anything in the love topic area. While attending a charity he meets and falls in love with a woman who unfortunately is engaged. He tries to maintain a platonic friendship with her but will stop at nothing to win her heart. This helps him draw inspiration to write a rom-com.
