In the 1980s, a 12-year old lonely boy named Oskar strikes up a friendship with his neighbor, a 12 year old girl named Eli. They find comfort in each other but as they keep getting to know each other Oskar realizes that Eli is no ordinary girl. he finds that she is connected to a string of murders that have been taking place.
